Pastor David Canny grew up here at Faith Way Baptist Church. This is where he was saved, baptized, served and surrendered to preach. He moved back to Philippi, WV in Spring of 2021 after spending seven years in Indiana - four years at Fellowship Baptist College of Indiana and three serving as an assistant to Pastor Jeff Jones at Heritage Baptist Church in Columbus, IN.

 

He became the pastor of Faith Way in April of 2023. He and his wife Kaleigh have been married since 2014 and have 4 daughters: River, Penelope, Matilda, & Ivy. The Canny’s are excited to see what the Lord will do here in Barbour County and around the world through the ministries of Faith Way Baptist Church and Camp Popeye. Their mission is to serve God in every way He leads.
